The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (GNCCF) takes place at Spinningfields in Manchester and is now in its 6th year. It is recognised as one of the leading retail events for contemporary crafts in the UK and attracts over 6000 visitors. This year it was on 10th-13th October
The GNCCF showcases contemporary cutting edge contemporary crafts to buy direct from over 150 selected designer makers in ceramics, glass, jewellery, interior and fashion textiles and more!
Here are some textile exhibitors from 2013 which i found inspiring!
Emily Notman
Emily Notman produces bespoke wall pieces and wearable art. She mixes stitch with clay and found objects. She experiments using traditional methods in contemporary ways.
Jacqueline Mulvaney
Jacqueline makes bespoke textile accessories. Each piece is constructed using a diverse range of materials from antique chandelier drops to fragments of lace and layers of stitch.
I love the amount of detail in this piece!
Also Felt Feelings, Naughty Dog and Lynsey Walters!
